In an effort to go paperless, reduce first evening practice queues and get swimmers into the pool quicker…
All families must complete and submit online before First Evening Practice:
- Midlakes Concussion Form
- Midlakes Hold Harmless Form
- Midlakes SafeSport Swim & Dive Program Agreement
- Safesport Training (information below)
- Click the name of each form to access the pdf.
- Print and complete for all registered Kingsgate Royals swimmers.
- Print and scan / document-photo with your cell phone (Adobe ScanTM is a free, easy to use app iPhone and Android).
- Email completed forms (with your family surname in the subject line) directly to our dedicated forms email: Kingsgate Royals Documents (documents.kingsgateroyals@gmail.com).
Per Midlakes Rules Failure to provide proof of certification will result in exclusion of the club from Midlakes insurance benefits, forfeiture of the meet(s) and a $250.00 fine.
Safesport Training
SAFESPORT TRAINING MUST BE COMPLETED BY Sunday May 21st 2023 (11:59 PM PDT)
All Kingsgate Royals swimmers are required to watch their age appropriate SafeSport online training course before being permitted to participate at any practice/meet/event this Season.
- Swimmers 12 and Under are required to take the free 15-minute “SafeSport training for Kids”.
- Swimmers 13 and Over are required to take the free 15-minute “SafeSport training for Youth Athletes”.
In addition, each parent / family member / volunteer is required to watch the SafeSport online training course before being permitted to participate at any practice/meet/event this Season.
- Kingsgate Royals Parents / Volunteers are required to take the free 30-minute “Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sport”.
SafeSport Training Access
NEW USERS (who do not have a SafeSport training account):
1. Go to: https://safesporttrained.org?KeyName=FSMIDLAKESkingsgateroyals
2. Select Enrollment Key on the landing page and enter the following key where it says “key name”: FSMIDLAKESkingsgateroyals (This will ensure your training is linked to Kingsgate Royals).
3. Fill in the required contact information and password. There is no Member ID #, so ignore this. Enter Midlakes as the “Name of Sport or Community Organization”.
4. Select your “Role” – either Athlete/Participant, Parent or Volunteer.
5. Once your info is entered correctly, click the light blue “Sign Up” button at the bottom of the webpage.
6. When the account is created, you may access the training course catalog as follows:
- From the Welcome page, select “Catalog” near the center of the page.
- From the Catalog, select the appropriate training as detailed above by clicking “Enroll”.
EXISTING USERS (who have a SafeSport training account):
1. Go to: https://safesporttrained.org?KeyName=FSMIDLAKESkingsgateroyals
2. Click “Login” button (upper right of screen) to access your existing account.
3. From the Welcome page, select “Catalog” near the center of the page.
4. From the Catalog, select the appropriate training as detailed above by clicking “Enroll”.
Once you have completed your training, your certificate will be saved within the SafeSport training system and communicated to Midlakes and Kingsgate Royals Board. You can access your certificate at any time in the future if needed with this login information.
NOTE:
If you have already completed SafeSport training for another sport within the U.S. Center for SafeSport system after June 2022, please email Kingsgate Royals Documents so we can link your training to our Midlakes & Kingsgate Royals Swim Team account.

Reporting Safesport Violations
If anyone sees or experiences abusive behavior that violates our SafeSport code and/or the Midlakes Code of Conduct, they should report the behavior to;
- The Head Official, Club Board Member, Coach if at a meet
- Coach and Club Board Member if at practices or events.
The offense should be reported to Midlakes as well as the proper authorities.
